Hi there!

My name is Pema Wangpo! I’m a UX/UI designer from Chicago. I'm open to work in the Greater Chicago Area and remotely.

Working with students has taught me to listen with empathy, respond to human needs, and create experiences that are both meaningful and transformative. Studying sociology and anthropology in undergrad helped me ask the right questions and design experiences that are not only functional but also meaningful and inclusive.

Here are some fun facts about me!

2025

I like to try different dances. In the photo, I performed couple of hip hop dances with my college friends. We performed at my college’s Dance Showcase event in 2024.

This year I started reading for leisure again. One of my favorite authors is Mieko Kawakami and I really liked her novel, All The Lovers In The Night.

When I was younger, I would perform traditional Tibetan dances at Tibetan festivals and events at the Tibetan Alliance of Chicago. Although I stopped doing that, I still participate in the circle dances called gorshey.

I like traveling. In this photo, I went to the Studio Ghibli museum and took a photo with Laputa Robot from the Castle of the Sky!
